My chair isnt working anymore and I just got it less then a year ago ..spent alot of money for this to happen
For those who have problems/concerns, here are the TWO areas that can be problematic for people when putting the chair together. The M80A has three OBVIOUS connections, red connector to red, black to black, and white to white. There is an additional connection from the charging port on the side(with the controls) to the battery that can become disconnected in shipping.
If you do the full assembly first and then have a problem with things not working, the first thought is that the chair is defective, you did the three color coded connections, so why isn’t it working might go through your mind. To address this, the power adapter has a light on it, solid red for charging, green for fully charged. Fully green can also mean it is unplugged, or that the battery is disconnected.
So, my advice is to start with the seat bottom, plug the power adapter in, and make sure the light goes solid red. That would indicate the battery is connected properly. If you get the control panel lights cycle but the power adapter is green, that means the battery is disconnected under the seat. So, unplug the power adapter, and make sure the battery is connected properly. It’s really that simple as a test before doing the full assembly.
That’s the first and most serious tricky part. The second is when you go to set up the arm rests. There are two bolts per side, and if you don’t have both the upper and lower parts aligned properly, the bolts won’t go in and screw in properly. It can be a little tricky, knocking the upper part into the lower when you have them lined up, you just need to check both the inside and outside of the arm rests where the two parts meet and make sure they are in all the way(not all the way on the outside but not lined up fully on the inside). These aren’t thin metal for the arm rests, so there isn’t going to be much chance of damage from shipping.
I’ve had my M80A for around a week, went through the “why isn’t it working?!?” part of things, then realized the battery must not be connected, so flipped the chair over to get to the underside for that battery connection. That is how I know to warn people to check that FIRST. I’m a real customer, not a bot, not paid to post this, so I’m speaking from personal experience about what to look for.
Another thing to remember, the chair will not work if it is plugged in, there is no manual lever for the footrest or to adjust the back, and that means, you need the chair to be charged.

I lost the adapter for the chair What the adapter which works with OKUP® M80A Dual Motor Electric Executive Office Chair
These comments are so far quite unfortunate. Let me redeem the manufacturer. It is possible that the wires underneath the chair are not connected, or the chair is plugged in for charging, both of which will cause the buttons not to work. It only works when on battery; the controls are disabled during charging.
That said, it’s also possible a chair got to a customer with a problem. That didn’t happen to me. My chair, purchased through Amazon, shipped from California and arrived in about one week in RI (east coast). It’s everything it’s described to be, beautiful, and second only to my Lexus LS460 as the most comfortable seat I’ve ever sat in. I’m proud to own it and glad to have pulled the purchase trigger! No issues at all. This is a really beautiful chair and I very strongly recommend getting one. Great value, great build quality.
I recently purchased the M80a chair and I really like it.
The only problem is, the seat is not as comfortable as I expected.
I can feel metal components underneath when I sit in the seat which makes it very uncomfortable to sit in for more than 5 minutes. I will need to purchase a separate seat cushion to try and make the seat portion more bearable.
